His mom is half Anglo, half Spanish. The Spanish is not from Mexico or Puerto Rico or South American Countries, though from Spain. Because the census as well as many questionaires do not disinquish in between the sorts of Hispanic ethnicity, the mom considers herself Spanish. That said, the child is 1/4 Spanish. If he meets all educational criteria for the scholarship, can he ethically request as the Hispanic? we know Native Americans can get $ from their tribes if the single has 1/4 of Native American blood. we assimilate the Jewish chairman is all-Jewish if his mom was Jewish though not all Jewish if she was the Gentile. With these opposite ways of last ones ethnicity, should the child request as the Hispanic?

It depends on the scholarship. Your friend should read the application and see what it says because all scholarships are different. One might say both parents need to be born in a certain country, and some might say only one parent and some might say only the grandparents and so on.
